Surround yourself in nature at the multi-award winning Brackenhill Glamping. If you want the immersive experience of camping; sleeping under canvas, hearing the owls hoot at night, star gazing and roasting marshmallows by the fire, but would love all the comforts of home, then a stay in one of our safari tents could be the perfect experience for you and your family.
The tents have wonderfully comfortable beds, leather sofas, wood burning stoves and well-equipped kitchens – perfect for an easy family holiday. Made for memory making, the outdoor fire pit and BBQ area offers a lovely family space to spend the evenings outdoors. The wood fired hot tubs are a great new addition, ideal for a long soak with the benefit of watching the birds and butterflies flutter by.
There is plenty of space for the kids to roam within view of the safari tents. There is a very shallow stream for paddling in and dam making, a mud kitchen for mud pies and a willow den to defend against pirates!
The two safari tents lie in a lovely 1.5 acre field on the edge of the pretty South Devon village of Ugborough. We are located a five minute drive (swift 25 minute walk) to Dartmoor National Park and within a 30 minute drive of the spectacular South Devon coastline which boasts the stunning beaches of Mothecombe, Bigbury, Bantham and South Milton Sands, to name a few. We have a huge number of visitor attractions and experiences to choose from, all just a short distance from here.
Dogs are welcome at Brackenhill Glamping for a small surcharge of £20 per stay per dog (maximum two dogs). We request that they are kept on leads in the glamping field to protect the visiting wildlife. Each tent has an enclosed veranda with a dog/child gate.

Our season runs from April to the end of October. Off peak there is a minimum stay of 2 nights over a weekend and 3 nights mid-week. Our check-in and check-out days are Monday and Friday. During the school summer holidays check-in days are on a Friday for 7 nights.

A 50% deposit is required on booking and the balance 28 days before arrival. Your deposit is fully refundable if you cancel 28 days before arrival. Cancellations after 28 days of the final payment will be non-refundable; however if we are able to rebook your dates 50% of your total payment will be refunded.

Our Village
We are lucky to have two excellent pubs in the village which are less than a five minute walk down the road from Brackenhill Glamping. The Anchor - Click here and The Ship - Click here. Both offer excellent gastro pub food, themed nights and The Anchor hosts live music. Both pubs allow dogs in their bar areas. Every other Saturday local crafters and producers sell their goods in the village hall. Known as Ugborough Sustainable Saturday - Click here it is a perfect place to pick up a freshly cooked bacon bap or something tasty for lunch. A fish and chip van visits the village on a Wednesday evening. We do not have a village shop however our honesty shop provides basic provisions such as soft drinks, charcoal, wood, toiletries, snacks, ice creams and dried goods. Ivybridge, the nearest town, is a 10 minute drive away, has a Co-op, Tesco Express, chemist and petrol station. The nearest Superstore is Tesco at Lee Mill”.
